So finally my mum has gone home, and I have peace once more. I am left feeling washed out, she is sooo draining, although she nice 95% of the time she has to stir it up every time she comes here

thankfully that visit is over...sometimes family can be really toxic. Hopefully your boyfriend will understand that that is just the way your mom is. All of the things she is telling you are so extra, stuff you don't need to know. I guess it is good that it was only a visit and you don't live with her.
