Not the most flattering photograph.

--I should add the photographer's comment: "Too wet from bathing to flee, this Ibis just flapped its wings at me as I approached."

>_> I am reminded of Skeksis.

Shall we blame the paparazzi, Wise One?

Well, I do not think I was personally manifesting in that ibis on that day.

I dunno, I think it's kind of cute.

Well....yes, it is, rather. I just wouldn't want to be photographed mid-bath that way myself.

Me either.

I think it's adorable, but then I am rather biased.

Perhaps there ought to be a collection of photographs of vampires with early-morning hair, or drying themselves after swimming.

I expect there is, somewhere. Although the photographer would have to be the sort of person who didn't mind being savagely bitten for his pains.

I suspect ibis photography is a safer pastime, yes.

Oh, hush.

Huu, are you back from the vacation you took?

Well, it is. Bathing birds are always cute.

And, yes! I most certainly am. Spain, what little I saw of it, was lovely. Djehuty, Ramon has an actual castle. There is lava flowing under the cellar. And his library! Oh, Djehuty, he has a marvelous library. And a big, beautiful room called the Hall of Water that you have to see to believe. It's magnificent.

Are you and Ruthven still oot and aboot?

Lava! Really! Oh, my. I do not think that Ruthven's former castle has lava.

We are still in Romania, waiting for Dracula to return a call.

Well goodness. I'm deeply impressed that the man held the device steady enough to frame a shot at all, for laughing.

There are those who would say I look like that all the time.

Perhaps he was sobered by meditations on the innate dignity of the creature, even in a state of disarray.

Indeed. It is an unfortunate quality of men that they project their own flaws and perceived shortcomings onto all the things around them. For a wise man would know that even an ibis in disarray is a testament to the grace of the universe.
