I feel the need to clarify.

Prop 8 sucks balls. I hate that it was approved. However, it was, and it was done so legally. The courts are not designed to legislate, they're to verify legallity of new legislature.

I hope that Prop 8 is overturned quickly by ballot initiative.

hey! i just wanted to tell you that i read your first post and i do see your point and agree with you on a lot. and i 100% agree, in the end i really want the VOTERS to overturn this. it would be so much better (and more affirming) in that way. by the way, i am ALL about asking marriage completely out of the hands of the state (for everyone), and making the legal/official term be "civil unions" for everyone. i just want gay unions and straight unions to be equal and the same. not separate. but until the state completely overturns marriage, i think that queers should have that right.
