It must be a relatively new thing, because I remember looking up "gay" as a keyword at the library a few years ago and not getting many results at all. But now they have folks like Heidi Cullinan and Marie Sexton! I'm so excited. :) Only problem is a 10-book-a-month limit, haha. (But SO pointed out that he has an account too.)

I figured you had seen that art! I looked at it and my jaw dropped -- so beautiful.

Hmm, m/m books at the library? And you just typed in 'gay'? Hmm. My library seems to be pretty conservative, but I'm definitely going to check this out. Let me know if you find anything good.

Well, I discovered upon closer inspection that a bunch of them are audio books, not ebooks, which honestly I'm not as excited about. It's not like these things are great literature, so hearing them read slowly aloud doesn't really do them any favors, you know? Haha. Especially the porn. *awkward* Plus it takes like 10 hours to listen to one book when I could probably read it in 4 - 5 hours. But still. It's a good distraction from politics, which is frankly why I'm doing it in the first place.

Fingers crossed that your library has something of interest!

I felt it took a few chapters to get into the Backman book, but then I was totally hooked. Really enjoyed it!

Yeah, that's true -- I found Ove almost insufferable at first, though I was laughing out loud by about page two when he was trying to buy a computer. :)
