Visited 4-10-09, 6-7:20pm. This is a definitely a bar & grill style restaurant.
Atmosphere: (6)
Loud, very pub-like. Sports on tv in bar.
Clientele:
Diverse - families, couples, groups. Casual.
Drinks: (8 - for what we had)
Aspall cider - good but it was a totally known quantity.
Food: (7)
* S - brick pressed sandwich - salami, ham, roasted green chiles, olive spread, tomato, onions. Served with fries. Sandwich was good - better with smoked tomato jam that was served with fries. Fries were not crisp-style
* Me - salad (avg) and split pea soup - good, not quite like mom's - thick but bacon not hamhock.
Portions:
Decent. Not huge, not tiny.
Price: (decent casual friday evening out)
Reasonable - moderate for the area.
Quality of Wait staff: (8)
Gave good recommendations, helpful. Was okay even when we switched tables on them.
Attitude of Wait staff:
Gave sass back (love that!) - both our waiter and another staff member. Was great fun!
Music:
Lots of "Rock Band" songs but was so loud it was hard to hear.
