I saw the total nominations compared to actual votes cast and thought of your review of the Anderson book, he got less first prefs than he got nominations which is fairly telling.

I hope it carries over to next year with a lot of people making nominations. In my dream scenario enough people will nominate that it won't be necessary to change the rules to prevent slate voting.

I haven't seen a report of the business meeting, did any of the supposed proposals get anywhere d'you know? Regardless, yes, 300ish nominations compared to 5,600 votes cast, getting people to actually nominate would do a lot to change the impact this has had.

That's what I intend to do. I've already started on next year's nomination list.

Matgb, both E Pluribus Hugo and 4/6 were passed at today's business meeting (the latter, just barely; the former, with a healthy cushion of "yes" votes). I would think EPH, at least, would be ratified next year as well, especially with the Pups already planning for the bigger nastier slate next year.
