Citizenship is fine but no safer than ILtR as the Home Secretary (always a scary person!) can revoke your citizenship if they think you are undesirable and might have another nationality to fall back on. OTOH Teresa May might be becoming a scary PM instead of a scary HS and noone else is that scary.
(I am British but with dual nationality so a scary HS can give me the boot any time!)
Frankly, the whole thing looks like a disaster, but with all the polis in meltdown mode who knows what will happen. If you like it in the UK (perhaps not so much now with the lunatic xenophobes given carte blanche to roam the streets committing crimes////////////putting upstart furriners in their place?). Well, if your community doesn't have too many lunatic xenophobes and you like it, stay and tough it out - hopefully you won't lose your job (they can't afford to be nasty to everyone) in which case you're fine.
My sympathies and I hope everything works out for you (and that you can stay!).
