It was good to be back, Togusa thought. Clean air, no smelly simulators, and even if he had left the Tachikoma behind, (Due to the cost of upkeep overseas) he was looking forward to meeting up with old friends ( Read more... )

Pip jerked awake. "What the... goddamnit, Merdebaise get down!" He leapt out of bed as Merdebaise tried to maul Togusa.

Togusa had used his bags to keep the feline away from his face and body, backing away to the door.

"Bernadette!"

He was too busy trying to avoid the claws to say anything witty.

He dove forward and grabbed Merdebaise, holding her out at arm's length. "No! Togusa friend. Togusa friiiiieeeeeend."

Togusa glared at the cat.

"Where did you get that thing?" He asked, sliding against the wall to his closet, using his bags as armor. "And does it have its shots?"
