Seiji had to admit that he had been having a good time with Sono-san. They had spent a good deal of the evening after school eating and drinking, and while Seiji was something of a lightweight, he had been able to keep himself afloat better than usual. So far, they hadn't talked about much more than school, even though Seiji was aching to ask about more. He didn't know why, but he was feeling a magnetism to Sono...even though they had only been talking for a few hours now.
"Sono-san..." he mumbled when they had achieved something of a silence between the two of them. "Where did you grow up?" he questioned, trying to start some sort of personal conversation between them.
Sono had been far too eager to meet Seiji once he'd discovered who exactly he was. It was a strangely pleasant feeling to think that someone he'd been a fan of had ended up in the very place he was teaching. While he'd met many of his favorite artists in his career, he had certainly loved Yamada Seiji's work. It had been refreshing, alive and now that he was spending time with the very man himself, he could see where that energy came from. He didn't regret calling him out tonight, not one bit.
When the question was asked, he took a sip of his drink and smiled at Seiji. He noticed the other was getting a bit of color on his face, and nodded to him. "Tokyo, Seiji-kun. I had some lovely years there. I moved here when I was a teenager, but I'd keep visiting in the summer." he chuckled. "What of yourself?"
Seiji blinked at the fact that he was actually from Tokyo, and that he moved here when he was younger. He'd never known anybody who moved from Japan to America. He leaned in, and grinned. "Really?" he asked. "My parents were from there, but I grew up in New York," he explained, fashioning Seiji with a smile, even though the guy was a relatively new acquaintance. Seiji couldn't help but think the older man beautiful...incredibly so, in fact.
"So...where did you get your degree at?" he asked curiously, giving Sono a smile. He was starting to feel hazy and drunk, but he didn't want to embarrass himself in front of Sono, the guy seemed so nice!
"Columbia University, in New York." he told him, setting his glass down and gently shaking it around. He held his alcohol well, though it was adorable how Seiji was holding up. He liked the way the other looked, he imagined he would be very popular among the students with how he was, and he was rather adorable to boot. He rest his face in his hand, and tilted his head to a side to watch the other young man.
"I was published at the same time, so it was quite exciting. I think my college years were exciting. What about you, Seiji-kun?" he lifted his glass to drink again, then looked over the rim. "Don't drink too much or you wont be able to walk back..." he warned with a light tease in his voice.
Seiji was in something of a haze, until Sono mentioned that he had been published, and he almost stood up completely, eyes widening. "You're that Sono Hanazaki!?" he asked with shock, his mouth almost gaping as he tried to evaluate the man, suddenly seeing him in a new light. "I thought you were a woman!" he slurred his words slightly, probably a bit too loud for being in polite company.
He sat down after a few minutes, the tinge of his blush deepening as he realized just how loud he was being. Oops?
Sono blinked at the outburst, but the smile on his face grew when he realised he had been recognised. "Guilty as charged." he was thoroughly amused, and not too surprised at the nature of it. Many people who'd approached him, had done so thinking he was a woman and well. Many weren't too disappointed by the fact.
"You've heard of me, though. I'm flattered." he added, shifting hands and watching Seiji carefully. "Would it be too arrogant to assume you've read my work?" he chuckled then, and poured himself another full drink, but didn't pick it up to drink just yet. Seiji's reactions were becoming quite adorable now that he was falling into a drunken haze.
Seiji nodded, and gave him a faint grin. "I have! I've really admired your work!" he admitted with a slight blush. "Although I never would have guessed that you were male!" he admitted, well, until it had been made obvious that he was a male, and Seiji didn't doubt that Sono was, at all. Although he was a very pretty man, and Seiji felt...instant attraction, although he wouldn't want to push anything on this guy.
Well, that was flattering indeed. He chuckled softly and nodded to him, then called for the waiter to pay for their drinks. "I would have thought the nature of the things I drew may have made it obvious it was a man. But I did occasionally get fan mail from ladies who seemed to think I... brought their thoughts to life." he blushed a little in embarrassment, and once the waiter was there, he paid for both Seiji and himself, and asked to have their table cleared.
"We should get going. It is a weekday tomorrow, so you'll probably have to sleep off the alcohol, Seiji-kun." he laughed, and stood up, stretching a bit, glancing over at the drunk man. "We can catch a cab back."
Seiji nodded slowly, and started to stand, but was a bit wobbly. "Okay," he murmured. He wobbled just a bit, and smiled at Sono with a thumbs up. "Maybe its because guys always draw what I do!" he gave him a slight thumbs up, a goofy grin, and he wobbled again, and propped himself up on the table, before blushing sheepishly. "I guess I'm more of a lightweight than I thought," he said with a slur, before sighing.
"Wouldn't do to come to work with a hangover," he admitted. "It'd set a bad example..." he murmured.
"Hm.. I'll take you home, then. " Sono sighed with a smile and a shake of his head, and slipping an arm behind Seiji's body to support him, he took a hold of his left arm and draped it over his shoulders, then nodding goodbye to the host, began to walk the other young man out. "I'll make you some tea and you can sleep off the alcohol."
Realising that it was close to pointless to ask Seiji where he lived in the state he'd gotten himself into, Sono caught a cab and had them taken to his place instead. It was close to school and he could make him whatever he needed to work off the alcohol, though during the rid back, he became increasingly aware of the other's presence, and brushing off the thoughts he was having thanks to it, he paid the cab driver and walked Seiji to his apartment. He lived in a nice location, and he had a spare room for the other teacher to rest in.
"Watch your step, Seiji-kun..." he told him, as he helped him off with his shoes. This area had mostly Japanese people living in it, so the structure was pretty much Japanese itself, with a raised floor and all.
Seiji felt like he was back at home, and smiled as they walked in. "Sono-san~" he mumble in a drunken haze. "I like you already~" he mumbled, looking around with bleary eyes. "This place looks like my parents house~" he managed. He was probably embarrassing himself, but in a drunken state, one really didn't realize what they were doing, and Seiji was definitely beyond any amount of control at his point.
His shoes had mostly come off when he tripped. "Whoops~" he murmured, with a light-hearted laugh, trying to regain his balance.
"Yes, yes..." Sono had heard this sort of drunken banter before, and was partly amused by it. However, when Seiji lost his balance, Sono stumbled and let out a gasp of surprise, ending up stumbling enough to push Seiji onto his back, hard against the wood floor and his eyes widened as he found himself sprawled over the other teacher's body. "Ah! Seiji-kun! Are you hurt?" he asked, pushing himself off him after pressing his hands to the floorboards enough to give Seiji room to move.
He looked hilarious right now though, but that must have been quite the blow to the back of his head and he hoped he hadn't killed him.
Seiji shook his head, but blushed at the proximity that they were in at the moment. "I'm...fine..." he managed, staring up at Sono with a nervous demeanor as he tried to figure out what to do next. Well, he knew what he wanted to do...but that was hardly polite, now was it? He tried to move out from under Sono, but he couldn't, and as he looked around, he kept looking back to Sono's lips, and that just made him blush even further! He swallowed.
His expression changed to one of realisation and without realising what was going on, Sono looked sympathetically down at Seiji. In that state, it was only clear that the young man was flustered enough to be thinking things that weren't quite proper, but it wasn't like he minded. He did like Seiji, longer than he could tell the man. It was foolish, in a way, but what could he say? He'd been attracted to the writer and artist of the story he'd read and had wanted to meet him. Perhaps not in this manner, he hadn't expected him to be this young or...
Smiling weakly, Sono murmured, "You're drunk Seiji-kun... " right, state the obvious.
"So?" he questioned before he managed to realize precisely what he was saying. Oops? "S'not like I'm incapable of decisions~" he murmured, feeling a lot bolder than usual. He found Sono attractive, even more so now that he had discovered that this was a man who had drawn so many beautiful comics that he had enjoyed for so many years. Never mind the fact that Sono was a lot older than him, or that they were both teachers at the same school, and that he didn't know how much they could actually get away with in this sort of situation.
Sono was rather impressed that the other was still managing to talk in the state that he was in, and he wanted to push himself off the other man, and was attempting to do so. However, he found that under the influence that he was in himself, it was hard not to be taken by the obvious vulnerability and he sighed with a smile, tilting his head to a side.
"So have to decided to spend the night on the floor?" he teased softly. Seiji was really cute.. and Sono could see that it was probably best for him to move off him, but instead, he slowly moved his face next to the other's cheek and whispered by it, "It's more comfortable on a bed."
Seiji blushed furiously. "I'm sure it is," he mumbled in a drunken slur as he looked to Sono with a hazy gaze, a blush spread across his face as he thought of being in a bed with Sono. He grinned drunkenly through the blush, and tipped his head towards Sono's face, impulsively pressing lips to Sono's in a rather impulsive kiss.
Thankfully, he was drunk, so Seiji really didn't realize just how forward he was being...or else he may have abruptly tried to move back away.
Well, that was... out of the blue. Sono stilled in surprise, eyes going wide as the other kissed him. The art teacher wasn't sure whether to move or punch him, though in the state he was in, it was more than obvious he had no will to do anything of the sort. Sono shivered a bit, and closed his eyes as he gently began to kiss him back, breaking it then to whisper, "Seiji-kun..." what was he going to say again? He paused, trying to recall exactly, and failing to, he just moved a hand to his lips, cheeks coloring.
"What was that for?"
Seiji blinked after heh had pulled away, blushing furiously as he raised his hand to slap his forehead, feeling incredibly stupid at the moment. "S-Sono-san," he managed, his face flushed and slack from kissing Sono. He still hadn't quite grasped what he was doing, but that wasn't a problem right now. Right now he was still quite hazy, and satiated from enjoying the kiss.
"I...don't know," he admitted softly. "It seemed like a good idea at the time," he admitted.
Sono's expression went from mildly befuddled to all out amused, and before he knew what he was doing, he ended up laughing. Moving a hand to his mouth, he tried to conceal his chuckles with a hand, failing miserably and the alcohol only helping to intensify the ease with which he did laugh.
Finally, when he'd calmed himself a little, he shook his head and looked down at Seiji, almost coyly, and asked, "Is it something you've wanted to do for a while?"
Seiji felt incredibly pathetic when he was being laughed at, but shook it off in his drunken haze, and giggled just a bit in response to his laughing, before blushing at his question and becoming incredibly serious and he swallowed slowly. "Er...yeah, I have," he admitted.
Thank goodness for Alcohol and the decimation of his inhibitions.
"I see.." how cute. Sono then smiled and slowly slid himself off Seiji, though it was tempting to just stay there and see what the other would do, but he didn't think the other young man would like that very much on his back. Then, sliding his arms under his back, he lifted Seiji and helped him to his feet, draping his arm around his own shoulder and another around his waist again, then led him to the guest room. The bed was large enough for two grown people Seiji's size (he'd gotten it in case his parents ever visited, but they didn't, so the room was mostly unused) and gently let him down to sit at the bed edge, and help him off with his shoes. Once he was done, he moved a hand to his shoulder and looked down at him.
"I don't want you to do something you'll regret." he reached a hand to touch the teacher's face and smiled at him warmly. "But I've liked you for a long time as well. It's hard to hold back, especially now."
Seiji felt incredibly guilty now, and looked at Sono seriously, the blush of alcohol still spread across his face, and he gave him a grin. "Well then, next time lets not get drunk," he said simply, fixing a grin on the older man and a thumbs-up. The idea of Sono actually wanting to do anything to him made him rather excited, and he blushed even deeper than before. He didn't know Seiji had thought about him like that, especially since he had been so forward! It was an encouragement, and he resolutely decided that he would definitely try to cull Sono's favor next time they went out like this.
It was nice to see the man hardly discouraged by what he sad, and feeling a little warmed by the fact, he moved a hand to his hair in an affectionate gesture and pet it. "Get some rest, Seiji-kun. I'll drive in the morning." he nodded once to him, then slowly bending down, he looked into the other's eyes.
"I'll wait for you." and he lingered before motioning to the other to lay down, and tucked him in properly. "Good-night, Seiji-kun."
Seiji followed Sono's instructions to a T, and he looked at him with a weak smile before nodding to the older man slowly. He felt warm, and fuzzy inside, although it was probably the alcohol still buzzing through his system. He snuggled down into his blankets, and yawned widely.
"Sono-san, I like you~" he murmured before falling asleep completely, almost completely dead to the world.
"I'm sure you do.. because I like you as well," Sono replied to him n a whisper, turning off the lamp in the room. However, he didn't take his eyes off the form of the sleeping man, glad he was out cold so he wouldn't see the blush that had spread over his cheeks. How awkward and at the same time how... nice. He hadn't ever had someone like him this way before, though he couldn't say he was innocent about the fact. It wasn't like he hadn't had lovers before. Still... Sono's smile faded as he looked down at th other man. Would Seiji-kun too... hm. He paused in his thoughts, then shook his head. He'd probably forget in the morning anyway.
Smiling then, he turned and walked out of the room. They had to wake up early tomorrow after all...
This was going to be interesting.
