as some of you may know,
one of my cats, rose, had been vomitting non-stop all day on friday and so i finally took her to the vet who then sent me to the emergency vet with no answer other than a possibility of a blockage or heart disease.
after getting quoted for the several tests they would have to execute on her (2,296 and some change) she would need an echocardiogram (as she has a history of an enlarged left portion of her heart), an iv to rehydrate her, several abdominal x-rays, injections, and several parasite tests, etc. i was ready to die as i had to put 50% of it down.
around 6 p.m. last night they called me telling me that rose had a foreign body in her intestines and in order to save her she must be operated on.
her estimate then increased to $5,200. i had to go in and put $1800 more down which then brought me down to a 0 balance in both of my bank and savings accounts.
i visited rose yesterday and she had an IV in her leg and was very lethargic. surgery found that she had managed to eat the entire head of a duck/goose toy. the results for heart disease are still in the lab.
tomorrow morning she is supposedly ready for pick up if she keeps what they fed her today down. i have to pay the remaining $2,990 in order to retrieve her and i just don't have it.
if you can, anything you can contribute will help. i will try to pay anyone who helps back within a reasonable enough amount of time.
if it's not for me, do it for rose. she's lived a hard life.
