So glad you thought so! I remembered about half way through making this video that the Sex Pistols Version was used to promote David as Casanova! So i thought it was fitting that the Timelord's version was a little more ... well pompous. lol. :)

That's absolutely fantactic. And it's so heartbreaking exactly because this song is so life-asserting, it's actual hymn to life. And under the circumstances it's the perfect choice of song to make you cry...

Exactly. It showed how wonderful his life truly was, and eventhough the Doctor only came to this realisation himself when it was all too late, i felt it fitting to send him out through positive reflection. He was truly brilliant.

Thank you. :)

You. Made. Me. Cry. (And I didn't even cry the first time I watched TEoT.) At first I was so unsure about the song choice, and then about 20 seconds into it, I was hooked. More soon, I hope? :)

I agree. You do need that first 20-30 seconds to get used to the enormity of that song. It was tough making sure it didn't totally overpower the video. But i reigned ol' blue eyes in every now and then. lol.

Yes, definitely more soon! My hubby was like ... "So is that it then? Are you done?" ... I just blinked and stared at him blankly. "huh?" I mean who is he kidding. *chuckles* :)
