Wow, talk about insult to injury. Between the fact that it's been, what, a week and a half or more (?) since your fridge broke, and that it's still really freaking hot, that really sucks. :( Good luck in getting your landlord to remedy this situation.
Yeah, it's OK, I'll manage. The old fridge still operates, it is just not sufficiently cold for food safety, so I can still keep drinks in there and they are cold enough for me. I hope he can get one soon because it's annoying and expensive eating out for every meal (this is also part of the reason I fled to my parents' house for three days, but they're leaving on vacation, so I can't do it again). My landlord seems like he's being cooperative though, he is going to get in contact with Best Buy.
The other problem, which I find kind of funny even though it may well turn out to be a serious problem, is that the old refrigerator is too wide to get out. I mentioned this to the landlord and he responded incredulously "How on earth did it get IN there?" to which I could only respond that I didn't know, since he has had the place longer than I have.
I was about to make a comment to the effect of, "Couldn't they just get the newer model of the one you have?!?" Hm. Maybe it got taken apart to come up the stairs?
