-Shinji has been making a point to avoid people lately, but after hearing about the heavy losses the GDF suffered in the last mission and Kira's involvement, he can't help but seek out the other pilot to rest his weary conscience. It is much to Shinji's surprise, then, when he stumbles upon a terrifyingly focused Kira throwing himself far beyond harm's way in the simulators. Shinji is afraid to intervene with Kira in such a state. His eyes widen at the numerous traps and hazards that could seriously injure, or even kill an ordinary human being that Kira seems to be clearing with minimal difficulties. He mutters to himself in awe.-

*Kira hears Shinji's voice and resets the simulation. He can always continue later.*

*Cagalli had been uneasy since the last battle. Sure, they'd won - they saved the world, something the GDF seemed to be good at. They saved millions of lives, and she and her brother and Athrun and the others... all of them had come back alive.

But despite that... Athrun had seen his father die with his own eyes, his father who was hateful and bitter and caught up in his madness to the very end. Shinn had fought the black mobile suit, and its pilot was a raving lunatic, and killing him had brought the boy little closure.

And Kira... he had barely spoken since then, his eyes holding a different edge than before. So when Cagalli heard that he was up to something with the simulators... she had to go see for herself. She didn't know what happened out there, but she wanted to try and be there for her brother.

What she saw though... she wasn't prepared for it at all.*

*She couldn't even think of a proper way to approach him at this point.*

*The Simulator shuts down as a blade is about to cut Kira clear in half. One of many close calls. He heads back towards the controls when he notices Cagalli watching him.*

*Cagalli was about to yell to warn Kira when the simulation shut down, along with the blade heading for him. It was obvious from her eyes that she was worried, scared for him even. She hadn't seen Kira in a truly dark mood yet, and it was a shock for her.*

You are entirely correct. I was quite unsure of myself during that mission. Those were my reasons for joining in the first place. I have recently reconsidered many of them.

He knew a bit on Yamato's character, the kind type who hated violence, and Guy felt concern to see such eyes filled with...perhaps the opposite of his familiar character*
