Aveline, your physical body may have died, but your spirit didn't suffer a brain haemorrhage and it lives on through the community of brilliant people that you gathered around you that you leave behind ( Read more... )

Thank you for posting about her. Between you and mordwen and some of the others whose posts I've read, I am very, VERY sorry never to have known Aveline. I hope and trust that her friends and cohorts will take up some of her causes, to make sure that her tireless energy and effort will not be lost entirely.

You told me about your experiences studying Strategic Studies at ANU

Ahh, she would have met a friend of mine who's the senior lecturer in that subject.

Strange and unexpected connections.

Please let everyone know that I am thinking of them - Aveline was indeed an amazing person, and I feel very fortunate that I got to meet her once while I was living at kitling's house in Union Street.

I have the very same memory of Aveline in the pool at Moreland Rd. She was the first to hop in, and sat there with apparent glee :)

I met her two other times - I was introduced to both Aveline and Thorf for the first time at Abyss at Paladin. They were both wonderfully striking looking people. I met Aveline again at Morgan and Ollie's old house. So it was always through her friends, who are my friends - and these people always had inspiring stories of what she did and was doing.

What a wonderful community of people who will miss her.

You introduced me to this person at a party in Clifton Hill, saying we'd have interests in common. I was glad you thought so. Never knew her well, but I'm pleased to have had that conversation.

A.
