So, um, Mr Bill Weasley? I have some questions to ask if you have time? It's for Professor Binns' project.

Ah, yes, I suppose I could carve a chunk of time out of my busy schedule.

Thank you SO much!

Okay, my first question is: What do you do for a living and why?

Well, I started my career after Hogwarts at Gringotts in Egypt. I broke curses and hexes, mainly to get at Pharoahs' treasure guarded by various protective spells. I did a lot of my best work at the two temples of Abu Simbel. Curse breaking is a very lucrative profession, for your personal edification.

Then I returned to England, still with Gringotts, in order to be more helpful to our efforts against You Know Who. Desk job was bloody boring though, so I had to quit before I gouged out my eyeballs.

Then I spent a few months in with my friend Tip, doing--well, never you mind.

Nowadays, I mostly perform research at Hogwarts alongside Professor Snape, generally agitating others and arsing things up.

As for the "why" in your question, well, I generally enjoy adventure, foreign travel, agitating others, and arsing things up.

That sounds very exciting! Ron's not as exciting, even if he is nice.

Was this what you always wanted to do or did you discover it by accident?

A very promising start, Ms Patil, which degrades into tabloid drudgery.

But Professor Binns, even my "tabloid drudgery" was tied to more serious matters!

I have seen the cha-cha in question, Ms Patil, and while it is exceedingly serious, it is irrelevant to the larger discussion at hand.
