Ta! I've learned so much, and I don't mean in a pious I-am-a-better-white-person-for-it way - lots of history and media studies stuff, and terrific writers I might otherwise have missed. I think the most fascinating thing for me (unsurprisingly!) has been exploring the similarities and differences between the UK, the US, and Australia, and how our histories have shaped our experiences of race and racism. I may be too knackered to do much about it, but this stuff is never not going to be interesting.

Thanks for your intelligent posts. If you ever decide to rejoin the online debate, please get in touch with me via All Together Now (alltogethernow.org.au), a new non-profit organisation I've set up to prevent racism in Australia.

The Lennie Henry line-up was particularly welcome, thanks. Wonder if his Othello will be televised at all (since I'm not likely to get to see it on stage)...?

The grooviest thing I've ever seen Lenny Henry in (other than the Who sketch, of course) is this reality thing where he went camping in the Amazon. With Dawn French's bra as the ship's flag.
