I've begun tackling the backyard work. Raked and bagged one big bag of last year's discarded leaves yesterday. Of course, now I'm hoping that the city is actually picking that yard waste stuff by now. The full bag is heavier than all those float-ey, small bits of nature should be. And I don't want to have to carry it back and forth for however

Thankfully Maggie's first outing wasn't too wet. :o
Buy some store cookies and pretend you slaved over a hot oven. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need to do some raking too.
A bunch of little branches and a lot of bark off the Oak tree in the front yard.
Hugs, Jon

I'm glad you and Maggie didn't get too wet and were able to enjoy your walkies together.
Trust me, my friend, my Sci-Fi loving friends can tell the difference between home-baked and store-bought. Fortunately . . .they don't care. Tasty Cookies are COOKIES!!! And that's what counts. Plus, I pulled out a bag of "Apple Chips" that are quite good and they will likely replace the Cookie option along with a bag of Easter M&M's.

Especially the peanut butter and the caramel ones. :)

Hiya! I'm about to go to Target and am glad I saw your comment first. These Easter M&Ms are a flavor I never saw before: "Easter Sundae". They really do taste a bit like ice cream with chocolate topping. I don't think I've tried caramel ones, though. Sounds great! Gotta go. Much to try to get done today.
Speaking of chocolate, I heard a radio report that some new disease of the "chocolate plants" that showed up recently is likely to run the price of chocolate up. I think I'll add "chocolate" to my Target list.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, my friend.

I wish we could do some yard work but its been raining heavily for 2 days with no end in sight.

Hey! You can feel free to swing a little east-ish, and I'll let you play in my yard. Hee hee. More seriously ..... just give it a few more days and The Big Guy will give you the chance you're looking for. Looks like we'll be getting more rain off and on for the next few days. Naturally, yesterday I'm supposed to attend a picnic. Hmmmm ..... there might be more "hee hee" on ME and my friends this time.

Glad to hear the boys are doing well, and that spring is far enough advanced for yardwork.
Sounds like it's not long till lilac season!

I'm so looking forward to the lilac scent wafting around my yard! If only it lasted longer . . . But even a single whiff of my big White Lilac bush is well worth waiting all year. Of course, I do lots more whiffs than that. I'm checking the bushes every day but we need more sunny days--lots of spring rain lately. I wish I could send you a whiff of the white. Take care, my friend.
