But you can't paint an elephant quite as good as she.

I know I wanted to write a "Reminiscing 2007" entry on the last day of the year, but I didn't get a chance to; since then I've been avoiding doing so, but here it is now.

Where do I start? It's amazing how much has happened in a year, and how much I've forgotten, until I started reading through my older entries.

JANUARY - MARCH
- I was still in Penang Matriculation College, waiting to come home.
- I missed Muse World Tour 2007.

APRIL
- Finished my one-year course at college, and I'm finally back home for good.
- My grandfather got sick and had to be hospitalized. He and my grandmother are now staying at my brother's apartment, very near our house; my grandfather has been bedridden ever since.
- Possibly the start (or rather, the continuing) of my so-called Depression Period.

MAY
- My first nephew, my brother's first child, my parents' first grandchild, Irfan, was born. Since then, nothing has been the same for any of us.
- My mum, after a succesful 30-year career, retired at age 55. Read above.
- I got a part-time job designing for Pixaworks.com.
- I coloured my hair for the first time, ha.
- I got my Sem 2 GPA: 3.78. With the 4.00 I got from my first sem, my CGPA was 3.89. What a disappointment.
- I got an offer from UPM to do Medicine.
- "Memorable" Ex-Boyfriend Moment #1: " So here's something you probably have or haven't done before: Cried in a shopping mall in public, on the floor, hugging your knees."
- I turned 18.

JUNE
- I started taking driving lessons.
- I went on a holiday trip to Bandung with my family.
- "Memorable" Ex-Boyfriend Moment #2. (Okay, so this one was mostly my fault.)
- I went to an interview to get into IMU.
- I didn't get the offer from IMU; then I had second thoughts about doing Medicine. " I never thought my parents were the kind that wouldn't have my back when it comes to my studies. Never."

JULY
- Desperate times call for desperate measures: My parents still couldn't accept the fact that I didn't want to do Medicine, so on the day I was supposed to register at UPM, I locked myself in my room and missed it;
- Only then did my mum start talking about alternatives. Law was one of them.

AUGUST
- I started using eyeliner and mascara, haha.
- I registered for the University of Reading Law Programme at Taylor's University College.
- Subsequent to receiving my offer letter from Taylor's, I got a call from IMU saying they've offered me a place. "Suck it," I told them (in my head, of course).
- I read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I hated it. Period.
- I continued my driving lessons, after a 2-month "break". I haven't continued since.

SEPTEMBER
- I realized I've emotionally gotten over the relationship. " I want him out of my life. No, I don't. I want the last seventeen months to have never happened. That's what I want."
- I got a car! A car which I've yet been able to drive.
- Boy (not the ex-boyfriend) trouble starts a-brewing: " I'm excited about Saturday, although it's not confirmed."
- I broke up with my ex-boyfriend -- for good.
- I found out I've lost about 10lbs.

OCTOBER
- I started Law School;
- And I (still) love it.
- Possibly the end of my so-called Depression Period.
- I got my heart broken -- " The human heart is such a peculiar thing." -- hah, as if!
- I saw P. Ramlee: The Musical.

NOVEMBER
- Depression tried to come back and get me;
- But didn't succeed.
- My house got broken into, again.

DECEMBER
- I played pool for the first time.
- I saw My Chemical Romance Live in Kuala Lumpur with dhivia.
- My mum bought me a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T2 (aka The Pretty Pink Camera).
- I fell for someone;
- And I got him;
- I had an amazing first date with him, taking place in Penang;
- And right now, I'm happy.

So. Goodbye, 2007. You've been...something.
Here's to a great year ahead.
