It's a little preemptive, I suppose, but I'm thrilled to see someone going for it and playing Jack Noir. It'll be tough with the rate that Hussie seems to throw crazy plot shit at us, but aaaaa I think you're one of the first MSPA RPers to try for a game! /was that Rose that kind of posted in the d_m thread

I also find it amazing that I've had this HMD up for over a year and the first real comments I get are all about my Jack less than a week after his d_m debut. What is this even.

You are doing something right! ohmigosh MSPA cast, Christmas came six months early. I'm a little leery of playing Rose atm unless I just take her from a specific point in canon -- that and IRL is a little crazy atm -- but I'll definitely think about it!

I've been watching how you play Jack Noir. I've also been watching ”roleplaysecrets”, and I've seen several secrets over the past few weeks from people who have problems with the way that you play him. Your responses to all of these comments, though concise and begging for more specific concrit, were very cookie-cutter and offered little more than a link to your HMD and a reference to everyone that you've spoken to who has nothing to say about the way that you play him but niceties. Since no one else is stepping up to the plate to actually take you up on your request for criticism, I'm taking it upon myself to bear that burden, and I'm going to do my best to speak for everyone here with an analysis that's about as in-depth as I can make it.

I've only been following you at ”a_facility” closely for the past two months or so, but I'd seen threads of yours before and I have to say that your argument for why exactly Jack is so friendly with people both from his own cast and from other casts falls very, very flat to me. You claim that he's “been through a lot” and

Even in the face of extreme trial and suffering, there is little to no reason why Jack should truly and honestly befriend anyone, and especially not people not of his own species. His “friendships” with the children are particularly disturbing, considering canon events post Act 4 that call into question everything that you claim about him going through a lot. Jack has been through a lot in canon. He suffered extreme humiliation at the hands of the Black Queen, and he's suffered multiple injuries as a result of prototyping and otherwise. Now, do I think that Jack would suffer if tortured? Yes. Do I think he would reform himself and start looking out for people because a few kids showed him kindness in times of struggle? No. HELL no. If something like that happened in canon, people would flip shit, and with good reason. A_fac is Hell, not rehab for your soul

I'd like to start by thanking you for taking the time to write this up for me. The main reason I've been so frustrated over this recent drama is because everyone seems to prefer to take the easier route of flat bashing and anonymous comments on rp!s and the anonmeme. Though I wish the rp!s drama could have been avoided altogether, there's really no way to go back and change that. I appreciate the time and effort you put into this, so I'll try to respond to my best ability (and I apologize in advance for my rambling, it keeps happening

Another thing that kind of irks me a little is when people bring up how Jack has "reformed," because... well, I wouldn't really say he has yet? At no point has Jack ever stated he's going to change his plans, assuming they all somehow go back to normal. He's actually stated plenty of times that he fully intends to blow up Skaia and kill everyone if they get back. The only real difference is that he's more geared towards a final epic duel instead of killing them all when they're vulnerable, I suppose, and maybe more recent events might make him change his mind about the killing part and aim more towards disabling them as a threat if he can. But he's still not above killing his "friends" for his own benefits, or if they become a problem. You probably didn't see the week 103 logs since they were f-locked, but basically at the end he was given the choice between killing Dave and letting the doctors torture and kill his Crew (and the unspoken option of killing himself, which he didn't even consider). Since the Crew was a better investment
