Wow, this made me cry, bringing up so many not-so-long ago feelings, but in a not-too-painful way.

You write about her and her passing and what she meant to you beautifully.

I'm very sorry for your loss, and your family's loss. My thoughts are with you.

*hug*

i didn't mention above
that one of the other
things that i did on friday
was to help write
her obituary,
or actually edit it,
since she already had
two pages of notes
on her obituary
and what she wanted
{and didn't want}
from her funeral.
an aunt and i worked
on revising and crafting
what eventually
went to the newspapers.

part of me wanted
to write something
for the funeral,
but i thought it would be
more about ego
than about her,
so i held off
{even as others shared
their thoughts and memories}.

thank you
for the kind words.

so sorry to hear of your loss. she sounds like a great lady, and it sounds like she was going full-force until the very end. hope you and your family are ok.

she really was
a great lady
and indeed
always went
full force
in all she did.

thank you.

I'm so sorry.

My own grandmother died about a year ago, and I'm still missing her horribly at odd times. But she died after a prolonged twilight period... I can only imagine what a shock it must have been to lose someone so vivacious so quickly. I'm really sorry, and thinking of you.

i remember
those posts,
as well as travels
to be with your family.

the fact that she did
not suffer comforts me,
but the shock and surprise
of it all just cuts so deeply,
and often surfaces
in so many small moments.

thank you.
