Dear Salvation Army,

Just read this article which outlines the ways in which you have attempted to undermine gay rights over the years. For one, you've attempted to get exemptions for hiring practices that exclude gay people from your employees. Sad, but not surprised, to see they've not changed in the last 20 years or so... Must have been about that long ago that some folk in the Toronto queer communities started handing out 3 Dollar bills (as in "queer as a 3-dollar bill") folk could deposit into the bell ringer's buckets. Kinda like http://www.angelfire.com/rock/sluttyrockstar/queerdollars.html ... but the bills were more like monopoly money -- photocopier tech has improved since 1989 .
