Fellas,

Well, I'm off. I've decided to quit the team. It's just not for me anymore. I'm sorry I couldn't tell you this in person. I think it's easier this way, just to get away quietly. Just remember, I'll try and have your backs, no matter where I am.

See-More

To be honest, that sounded more like this: "dear hive, i love you but it's... look it ( Read more... )

Ghost had known See-More had been considering these kind of thoughts for a while, now. It was hard to be a telepath and not notice, especially when Ghost couldn't always shut his telepathy off. It was like a muscle, and it hurt to constantly flex one muscle. The only thing was, he hadn't expected See-More to follow through and act on them, least of all so soon.

However, what annoyed him about this was the fact that See-More had decided to do it with a note rather than face to face.

Invisible, he silently made his way to the door to intercept See-More there. It was only when See-More was just a few inches away that Ghost bothered to reappear.

"Going somewhere?"

You see, See-More thought waiting a few months was enough time to think about it! ... However, he lacks a little thing called tact. Count on him to make a last second decision and not think clearly on what he was doing. Obviously, if he had, he would've thought to sneak out when everybody was away, rather than waiting for teenagers to go to sleep.

He paused in his steps, turning around and seeing Ghost. Unsure of what to say at first, he just stood there, blank. He slowly said, "I...need...a break? A vacation?" Why was he lying? He knew Ghost could read his mind and could tell See-More was lying. Maybe he was just nervous. Or maybe he really is just that dumb right now.

Ghost didn't bother with name-calling. That was really not the point, nor was it the reason that he was annoyed. In all honesty, he was the last person to point fingers about disappearing - he'd disappeared on his friends for two years to build up a reputation as a reliable spy for hire.

"The fact that you're lying to me is rather insulting, See-More," he said simply. "Even without telepathy."

Resting a hand on his hip, he fixed his cool pale grey gaze on his friend, expression dead serious.

"But what really bothers me is the fact that you wouldn't come out and say it to everyone's faces. Did you honestly think we're like some common gang, who would beat you senseless for wanting some time to go out on your own and figure out what you wanted to do?"

See-More didn't say anything about the lying. He really WAS in no position to come up with excuses. He glanced around a bit, and then turned to Ghost saying, "To be honest? I thought that it'd be harder for me to leave," he said. That was the truth, too. Partly. "...That, and... well, yeah. That, too. We're the HIVE Five. We've all got into our fights.

"... Yeah, you're right. This is pretty jerk-ish for me to do."

Unfortunately for See-More, Gizmo has a lot of cameras in the hideout. In fact, in almost every part of it, save for the individual rooms. He saw See-More make the note, and zoomed in on it, reading it, and...

"SEE-MORE! YOU PINK-EYED SNOT FOR BRAINED MORON WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!"

Gizmo's scream of rage echoed out through the hideout long before See-More would have heard the clank clank of Gizmo's mechanical legs.

See-More's blood ran cold at that scream. He didn't consider turning off the cameras before he left, let alone comprehend the fact that Gizmo could be up at this hour. He stopped at the door, as the scream died out and the mechanical legs were head. "... Shit" was the only thing he muttered.

Gizmo clanked into the room, looking absolutely livid.

"I SAID, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" he shrieked.

See-More dropped his bag, a big (nervous) grin on his face as he held his own hands up. "Now, calm down, Gizmo... I can explain!"
