I was just thinking that I've actually been reading a lot, lately, so I was going to do some kind of book review for what I've read? I mean, I might as well do something productive with my time. Anyways, I figure I'd sort of give a run-down of the books and maybe some of you will want to pick them up and check them out for yourself. Possible

The Fault in Our Stars was beautiful. I cried so hard the first time I read it and honestly haven't been able to re-read it since. The thing about Green is his characters are so charming and intelligent, but sort of unrealistic. At least to me. I mean know I talk about books and things like that, but his dialogue is extremely mature. I still love his characters though because they are all brilliant.

Yes, I do think that something about Green's characters is much too mature for who they are sometimes. Augustus' speeches and such were very...I don't really have a word to describe them, simply that it's not something a normal teenager would say. But that was something liked that about them! That air of maturity and the realism that Green injects in them, like the whole 'the world is not really a happy place' kind of attitude, is what makes his writing so unique. I really enjoyed it, though I did find myself rereading some things because they went right over my head, haha.

It's a great book, though. I spent the last 100 or so pages sobbing my eyes out and it was embarrassing, but it was a wonderful read nonetheless. xx

Yeah haha, sometimes it's just time to whip out the ol' dictionary when it comes to Green. But I just love his prose, especially since it's first person and that's just hard to get right imo, especially compared to the ever simpler third person.
