When you're covering four episodes, what could possibly go wrong? Then again, 4 and 5 are more like quick recaps. 7 is as well, because that's how I do things.
So, episode 4 covered Yukiko's Castle, which ended with a shiny new team mate.
At least someone's having fun. Too bad Yu didn't tell her it suited her.
Episode 5 was basically filler, which is where players spend time training, social linking, raising stats, etc. In this case, we got two social links (well, more like 1.5, unless they choose to leave it at that).
This basically sums the episode up as a whole.
That said, this episode also introduced anime-only character Aika, whose role/importance is not entirely known. I'm kind of half-expecting her to take one of the social links in place of someone else, but who knows.
Episode 6 returns to the main story.
Okay, I just had to take that screenshot because Yosuke's face. Yosuke's. Face.
Social link get. Or, at least, it would have been more on that later.
... very fashionable.
Test time! A week of nothing but answering questions. School life at its best.
He then turns up on the Midnight Channel. Well, at least we know who our next team mate is.
Hi there.
Of course, the team catch Kanji talking to this guy, and decide the best thing to do is stalk him. Because that's what you do.
Priestess social link get.
In which nothing could possibly go wrong. Seriously, these two.
This chase sequence.
The entire. Chase sequence.
It just got sillier when Aika appeared. Damn it Yukiko.
Yeah, the credits shows which links have been established in the episode, and it's only showing The Priestess. I guess the other one's for later. When, who can say.
And after that
Yup. Next episode is going to be nuts. And I will be disappointed if it isn't. (Can't you just tell that I had this written up earlier?)
So, naturally, episode 7 covers Steamy Bathhouse. Except, as the game would have it, Teddie is useless and can't even pinpoint Kanji, and so the team go off to find more clues about the guy.
...Really, they mashed the whole of Kanji's social link in one go, which is kind of disappointing. Especially when you realise that it basically happened without talking to Kanji himself.
>:(
Anyway, the team finds the info they need and jump back into the TV.
Steamy Bathhouse is a terrifying place.
Enemies. Kind of wish we saw more level grinding battles outside of boss fights. Wait, have they even done mid-bosses? (Chie's Shadow doesn't count.)
Well, at least someone got to keep their weapon of choice. But how's Kanji going to summon his? Really makes me wonder
This entire place is the stuff of nightmares. And then there's the countless hours of grinding to find one or two enemies just to get them to drop things but when they don't you just want to punch things. I wasted so much time doing that...
Fuck yes fusing.
Expect to get Kanji to smash things all the time. His buffs are useful as well.
And so they lived happily ever after. Next week: Mystery Food X
I also then realised they hadn't done an All-Out Attack since episode 3 and it disappoints me greatly. Maybe next time...? I wonder how they'll do it then, since we're up to five party members.
Episode 6 stats because I'd already screencapped it
He's getting there. But did he really pass his exams with that level of knowledge...?
