Good question. I've been in MO and spending lot of time with my mom. Last weekend I went to a knitting convention in Chicago. This is a way different type of convention from the sci-fi ones I went to with most of my friends on live journal ( Read more... )

Your knitting conference sounds like it was fun. Did you travel with anyone you know? Or meet up with someone you know?

I've still not checked out Eureka, but I really should as our TV likes have been in line in the past.

I went to the convention with my friend Barb, but my mom, my aunt and our friend Betty also came. They spent their time going to quilt shops. Barb and I pretty much only saw each other at market because we didn't take any classes together.

So how is that cute little son of yours. Not so little any more I bet.

We were sad we didn't get to visit, too. I'm alos sad that I can't make the New Zealand trip. You guys are going to have a blast and I look forward to pictures. Are you considering Vegas this spring?

Don't know about Vegas in the spring. It will probably depend on if I have a job or not. I'm hoping AT&T will renew my contract. Sounds like you and Yvonne had a good time there this summer.

A busted boat? that sux! I'm seriously trying to not a buy a boat but it's too darn tempting now that I live on the water and can park it in my backyard. I'm gonna get a kayak first so maybe that will help alleve the boat fever.

I wanted to watch Eureka but keep forgetting! I set my DVR for it so maybe now I can keep up with a new show.

You should watch Eureka. It is so much fun. So I'm assuming if you are not a swimmer you will be wearing your life vest whenever you go out on your kayak, right.

Heck no the trip isn't a secret. I was planning to go when I turned 50 but I was in the middle of my move so it has being delayed a couple of years. I told people I was going and Dinda said she might like to go back, Christine then said she might want to go. I think I mentioned it last summer and a week or two after you guys visited Heather sent an email asking if she could come. I'm always of the ilk the more the merrier. Apparently Heather and Dinda were talking it up in Vegas this year and Dana decided to join us. Bre decided about a year ago that she wanted to come along. So we are going to have a blast with 6 of us bebopping around New Zealand for two weeks. I'm so excited. I thought it must be the most beautiful place on earth after seeing episodes of Xena and had it confirmed when I saw Lord of the Rings.
