I don't know what's going on anymore so I'm commenting here in case I never commented. To be fair, I don't remember reading this one at all so I must have missed it when you posted :(

This fic is making me feel all nostalgic for series one <3 Also I am questioning your 'aw writing from 4 years ago' - this sounds pretty good stuff to me, especially,

He should go back to his own bed, back to sleep, but the urge to touch Arthur is overwhelming, there’s a need to gain a tangible sensory feeling to confirm what his eyes are seeing - the time on the beach showed Arthur completely still, not breathing at all - and he reaches out to his cheek and traces the side of his face. It burns his fingertips and reaches into his chest, dispelling the horror that had been gripping him since he’d woken up with the prince’s name on his lips for all the wrong reasons.

Aw well I did write it just after s1. And purposefully made myself ~experiment with words. And then fiddled for 3 years. =) Thank you for coming back and commenting anyway! ♥

Ah, s1. There was Merlin. There was Arthur. There was a monster of the week. All they ever did was fall over each other trying to save the other's life. Nice and simple.
