I'm almost sorry I'm not going to MAL now. I think it's very cool that the event made ABC News at all, though I wonder if it will generate some negative attention at the event itself.
I think it almost certainly will. Although most of the conservatives won't go because they don't want to support "The Anti-Christ", I'm sure the democrats will even raise an eyebrow or two.
When I went 2 years ago, we were being questioned by an old man with a press pass. Dick was being tied up and wrestled to the floor, and I had bite marks all over me. The reporter was asking things like "Why is he letting them do that to him?" and "Doesn't that hurt him?" to which I replied "It's a good hurt... and he likes it". Turned out it was the religious right there to "expose" the event.
So I have no doubt it will stir some shit, but not enough to do any damage.
