After spending the better part of the day staring at Starbuck's ring, Leoben had decided to hell with it. Kara found him there as the sun began to slip down over the horizon. He looked moody, which wasn't unusual, but it made her nervous anyway. "Please tell me you're not pregnant, too," she called, recalling their last surprise encounter on the beach.

Leoben cracked his neck and shrugged, discreetly pocketing the ring before looking over at her. He frowned at Kara's expression wondering if she thought he was annoyed with her. Granted, he was a little fed up with his own indecisiveness but that wasn't her fault. "Not yet. Why?"

There was no point in avoiding the issue but he really didn't want to give her the ring simply because Leoben couldn't decide what to do with it. "If, hypothetically, I was going to give you something... What would you want?"
