The Balaklava scene is done, except for final tweaking. Completely rewrote it last night. Ended up cutting the majority of the facts out, but tried to keep the horror and the sense of futlity - to highlight what would anger teenager of today without making reader switch off in boredom. Hope it works. Very dark bit of research for a small scene. ( Read more... )

It's all very well to tease poor languishing village wenches with lines about Dean but I don't see no followup. Hmmmmph! And don't even think of giving up the caffeine...Do I have to send tarts? (not the Dean kind either they would be too distracting)

Oh well I will send Dean tarts…of a sort…hmm I do like his fierce face.

Wow! Cool icon (you are talented in so many ways my dear NB). Love it. Woof! And now I'll go back to teasing the villagers, who don't know it but are being evicted to outer Mongolia next week due to unseemly conduct at the weekly karaoke night in the mead hall. I'm all for fun and debauchery, but there was a yak in there! Say no more. Viking villagers are out of here.

BTW send tarts of all descriptions a.s.a.p.

Well I didn't see no Yak...it must have been those villagers from North of the Viking Ship Watch Tower...yep, not me...I don't do debauchery...Well ok but that was only the once and there was still no Yak.
