Yesterday I booked a ticket to Philadelphia for this weekend. After talking to my mother (she's been calling reception places), it seems that to get a place for October, I gotta act fast. A lot of places are already booked for all Saturdays in September and October. We may end up having a Sunday afternoon wedding. How do people feel about that

A Sunday afternoon wedding means that out-of-town folks would most likely have to fly home on Monday and take that as a vacation day. Of course, you two are worth it! It's just an additional logistical thing for the rest of us to think about.

Oh, and while I doubt our scheduling will make any difference in your planning, just wanted to let you know that we already have a wedding the second weekend in October.

I'm hoping to pick a place this weekend, so I will send out date announcements shortly thereafter. That way, everyone can start making plans n such. Do you think I should I include a list of places to stay, or let people figure that out on their own?

What is always nice is if you can find a group rate at a hotel nearby. Also, you can ask whomever you choose if they have a local place that they already have a group rate set up with. Wanna come down to B-more after your day out? I am doing some work for Lori on Sunday, so I can't come with you, which totally sucks because I would love to.

I can't come down this time. I have plans on Monday to go look at the Mill Creek Farm and to try on more dresses. :( I fly home early Tuesday, so maybe next trip we can get together. You should totally come with me when I try caterers. :)
