Good-bye to an old friend

On Monday, my mom called to tell me that she had to put down our family dog, Cleo. Cleo the Basset Hound was 16 years young and finally succumbed to kidney failure and cancer.This is a dog who ate entire loaves of bread, inhaled whole pizzas, chowed down on jelly beans and stole our hearts completely. All she wanted to do was be with us all time

We were very lucky to have a such a good dog. She will be missed.

Can't believe that was less than 3 weeks ago. She did look bad though, so I hope she is in a better place now, chasing squirrels or eating loaves of bread. :)

i'm so sorry... *hug* it's like you've lost a family member. :( she sounds like a wonderful dog - every kid should be that lucky, growing up.

She was a great dog. The entire family will miss her, especially my mom, since she was the one who took care of her the most.
