Very glad you are safe, and I share you prayers for Japan.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Though we all hope to never be in a disaster, hearing about the experience gives us some insight just in case.
Sorry for the tardy response... I now know quite a bit more about tsunamis and warnings and evacuation procedures than I expected to need. For me it was an adventure; for Japan and its residents, a tragedy.
What a terrible disaster. Glad you're safe and to hear that people are heeding the evacuation warnings. My thoughts go out to everyone who has been touched by the earthquake and the ensuing disasters.
I'm glad you're relatively tsunami-proof! As long as you're at home... :) I know you are a rough-weather fan, but sometimes nature is not too kind. Thanks for your concerns!
JL and I were watching the videos on Friday morning...when I got back to Chicago, my family was watching the news...crazy shit, indeed...
I was anxious for a bit too because last I heard, my friend Jenna was in Japan, but I finally got a hold of her and she's safely back in New Mexico...phew.
But as glad as I am that everyone I know is safe, I can't imagine what other people are going thru. When I heard that they were missing whole trains, with no idea where they had been swept off too, I can't begin understand what those poor people's families must be going thru.
But I'm really glad you're ok...::big hugs:: Miss ya, bro!
I'm so glad your friend is safe in NM instead of caught in the disaster. My mind is still boggled at the damage, and the number of people and buildings and trains that are just... missing... is truly awful. Thanks for the hugs, bro! Miss you too :)
I'm very glad to hear you're safe, hon. That's gotta be scary to hear that a giant wave may come crashing into you.
I'm actually happy I didn't know you were in Hawaii until now. Otherwise I might have been freaking out more. The damage and everything going on in Japan is beyond imagination. I can't comprehend what they must be going through there.
Thanks for the good thoughts. It was a little spooky, especially until I knew for sure I didn't need to bug out. But I almost feel bad about feeling good to be safe, you know? I think pretty much everybody was freaking out just fine, even without knowing where I was. ::hugs back::
