Many, many, many years ago I got hooked on watching a soap opera. I scheduled my life around being by a TV for the hour in the afternoon it was on. I watched all year as the young star-crossed couple were separated by misunderstandings and unfair twists of fate and manipulative friends until at last they were going to be wed. I was so happy that they had overcome adversity and finally would have the chance to be happy

I'm getting the same feeling of 'will they never learn' from watching Sam and Dean do the guilt-tripping, inability to let the other grow up, unevenness of what they need from each other, bad decisions, and secret-keeping start up again.

If I didn't like Jared and Jensen as people, I kind of think I'd just let it go. :(

Exactly how I feel, hon. Enough is enough already. I really hope things change for the better, and soon.

I felt cheated in the finale, too, and for the same reasons, plus one: that whole church 'confession' came out of NOWHERE. But i already wrote about that in my post so I won't go on about it here ;)

And I couldn't really feel for Sam in the premiere because I never got the sense as to WHY he was so ready to die. Again, out of nowhere. If it had been established last season that he was ready to die, that would be different, but no. At the beginning of the ep, he even stated that the point of the trials was so he could keep living! Then all of a sudden he changes his mind? It isn't Sam being fickle, it's uneven writing :-P
