Krampas gave my daughter an orange at the Christmasmarkt in Wurzberg. He looked more like a Santa in a brown coat with a black beard and he accompanied a very relgious looking St. Nicholas. They call him Knecht Ruprecht.
No, although I suspect that had we been in a more familiar setting (at home, church, etc.) instead of the street, he might have been more inquisitive. This was well after the 6th of DEC so, who knows?
Not that I saw. He just looked at our little girl with her big innocent blue eyes and offered her an orange. That was probably due to St. Nicholas being engaged in conversation with other revelers. Some of the adults came up and heckled him a bit (I think, its hard to say exactly because it was all in German).
There were so many great things about that clip. I love Christmas in Germany, and I'm not surprised that Jesus saved Santa from certain death because that's what Jesus does: He saves.
