So lately I've been trying to live up to the reputation given to us by the media about gay people in regards to sexual promiscuity. I tried really hard. I got on the hook up sites, talked to the guys, talked about times that it would be convient to have casual no strings attached sex. But I think now I'm beginning to see that it's all been lies.

I think that was pushed as an idea to try and make people think that being gay is about sex. Listen to the way its talked about, how you are attracked to someone. They want to discredit the love and emotional attractions involved. That way gay people can be more easily villified.
