why are decisions to do things so intense, always? i feel like i can't just say "meh i'll take a year off." i gotta look at all the pros and cons, think about what my parents are going to think of my decision, think of where my friends will be, and think of how i can support myself

at certain times, such as planning for college and waht not, i question how much of m y views are my own and how much my parents have influenced them. there are certain things i know that i know because i know them, but some thigns are foggy. it's like... is this easy to do because i enjoy doing it, or becaue it's what im used to doing? family backgrounds are such tricky things.. sometimes totally going against what is "right" is the only way to find out whether it's right or not. scary shit, but yeah. i dunno. basically, i know what you mean!!! to be corny or something, you are probably one of the smartest people i've met. not just in terms of brain smarts, but like, having that intellectual intelligence as well as knowing "what's up." oyu know? i hope you end up in sanfran skating
