No, I do not have it memorized. You have just written that! I will try to remember though!

[insert facepalm and helpless laughter here.] So long as you try, that's really all I can ask.

Splendid, and I will try! I think I have only called Krile Cara once since she changed!

Why thank you, Derrick; I'm rather pleased with it myself, to be honest. Even better, I'm much less likely to be mistaken for a girl with this one.

It is a very good one. I'd be happy to call you that from now on if it's what you prefer.

I think it is~ Though I might keep 'Lea' in my pocket if I ever need to go undercover in drag. We've encountered stranger circumstances.

Axel

[Slight pause.]

It's a good name.

I'm kind of attached to it, really.

I bet.

Have you been to the Park yet?

What, the barbecue festivities? Not yet; I think I'm about to head over to see what all the hullabaloo is about. It feels a little weird, though; I wasn't around for the fire, so going to an anniversary of it is a bit odd.

Oh well. Free food, right?

do you like it better than lea?

If only because people will be less likely to think I'm a girl. They both kind of feel like the right name, though, if that makes any sense.

lea is a girl's name?
you picked one, the other you made yours.

Apparently. Several people thought I was a girl.

But both names are names that I heard people call me, so I dunno if I actually picked anything. Maybe they're both my names--maybe I'm a secret agent.

Why is it that you must ask people if they have your name memorized each time you introduce yourself?

seeya_next_life October 25 2010, 03:20:51 UTC
[Pause. He actually hasn't really thought about it--it just seemed like the thing to say.]

I guess I want to make sure people remember me. So I have to ask, you know? Make sure. You live as long as the last person who remembers you, after all, so if enough people know about you, even through word of mouth, you could live forever.

That was more of a joke than anything, but that is an interesting view on things. I'm more of the opinion that I live as long as I'm alive, but interesting nevertheless. Congratulations on receiving your name back.

Life ain't just about breathing, boss-man. It's about affecting the people who keep breathing after you're gone. That's what I think, anyway. Immortality isn't as unreachable as people think.
