The party was days behind her but every time Savannah thought about it she would blush and cringe inside. So once upon a time, Kon had been a superhero. Then, of course, Superman had decided to own up on his responsibilities and Kon had turned into a typical country farm boy. And what typical country farm boys did when they had a lot to think about was help on the farm. In the middle of the snow, the best he could do was head to the barn and maybe help with the animals.

It would happen, of course, that one of the things he wanted to think about ended up staring him right in the face when he went inside.

"Savannah." He considered briefly walking out, but he'd never been a coward.

She was no coward either, but goodness did she want to curl up into a little ball and hide.

"Kon," she said, friendly even though it was a little tight. She couldn't keep from looking at the young man and notice just how handsome he was and remember how it felt to kiss him--

She turned pink.

Oh hell.

"About the other night." Just what could he say really? He had no excuse. He'd been as high as a kite and had left her only to hit on Wallace later? Sure, that would go over well. He didn't want to kiss her? Even better and he didn't even know whether it was the truth or not.
