"Wow, that's very tempting," he said sarcastically, wiping the sweat from his brow and pulling himself to his feet. "Actually it's hot enough today that lukewarm is actually kind of tempting," he admitted with a laugh.

"I'll get you some," she said, ducking inside. She hadn't had him inside because even with Peter there she hadn't felt like cleaning and her hut was a bit untidy and it embarrassed her. It was obvious with the door hanging open behind her.

"So how have you been holding up?" he asked, looking around as he spoke. They'd been so busy working, that they'd barely exchanged a word over the last day and a half.

"Oh, well, you know," she said vaguely. Savannah sighed and ducked her chin. How silly of her. Logan had only ever been sweet to her. Certainly he could handle the truth.
"Not so good," she admitted. "On the days I don't have anything to do I just stay in bed. It's been a real help that Joe has me over to play guitar and that I've been starting to babysit in the children's room. I'm trying to keep busy but it's just so hard. It's just like before."
