Can someone tell me what the point of Myspace is?

Also, I find myself really creeped out by people who have obviously taken pictures of themselves to put on the internet (you can tell by the camera angles) WITH their eyes closed! They look dead and/or stupid.

i think its just a way to meet people through acquaintances (guess those people haven't heard of lj!), 2 people who knew me, the gurv and a guy from existere randlomly met there and talk or something, and then i got this message from both of them being like, we both have your email address or some such. the weirdest part is that to join you have to give your email password, and then they hook you up with people who have the same contacts, etc. but, like, why would you give anyone your email password? i think its a big scam!

i've never had to give my email password - unless i forgot in the frenzy of signing up.

i always just thought of it as a way to make someone feel like they have more friends than they actually do.
