There's that show tonight at the Hangart,
that everyone has been telling me to go to for weeks.

I am uninterested in going,

and not at all upset at that realization.

I am supposed to be writing an essay.
Looking back at my life, or looking forward
at my future.

My future is entirely unknown.
My past is wonderful, and exciting and miserable and bubbly around and around and around. So full of My So-Called Life, Fight Club, Animal Collective and friends running in and out.
