How about including any act that restricts or lesses personal freedoms? Canceling Trek may have made folks unhappy, but they're still free to watch it on DVD.

yeah, that's not a good definition of an "immoral sort of act". What lessens my happiness, might give someone increased happiness. Example: old drivers who find happiness in driving slow to take in the scenery take away my happiness because they are making me late.

Moral/Immoral seems to conotate some kind of basis in a religion/philosophy that people have been following for countless generations. And immoral acts not always illegal acts. Many see adultery as immoral, but it's not illegal. But murder is illegal AND seen as immoral. Then there are things like abortion and gay marriage that are illegal in some states/countries and seen as immoral by some, but not all, people. Or, may be legal and still seen by some as immoral. I think I definition of an 'immoral act' is not possible, because each culture/ethnic group/country/state has different views on what acts are moral or immoral.
