Title is rather fitting to the topic actually. Sorry kids, I'm not dead, yet. I've just been very absent. All in good fun though.

Anywho, as the title is (no, this is not Dir en Grey involved), I have news. Alas not good news though.

So the basic jist of it is, on and off for many years now I've had joint pain, who hasn't right? I thought nothing of it really. Growing pains, a bit of straining here and there, you know all that sort of jazz. Nothing to really think on, it's all fairly normal. Nothing Major. Well I was wrong.

So I went to see my doctor 'cause the pain was getting worse and more frequent, along with my joints getting slightly weaker. How fun. I have some blood tests done and a few other things and she can't find out what's up. I still pretty much assume nothing, just working too much but she refers me to a specialist to check it out. That was a month and a half ago.

I've had my specialist appointment now and I now know what's wrong. I still have to have a few blood tests done to rule out some real nasty things that I could still have, but the possibility isn't high. So what is wrong?

I have a disorder called 'Hypermobility Syndrome'. Basically it's not pretty any way you look at it. It's not treatable, it doesn't get better, and it never really goes away. But what is 'Hypermobility Syndrome'? It pretty much means I'm really flexible. Neat huh? Not really. Not with all the side effects. My tendons are too weak to hold my joints solidly, making them more flexible, but also causing them to strain extensively just from regular use. This causes the, now, extreme pain and weakness that I suffer from daily. But that's not all; I'm not allowed to play sports, of pretty much any kind, not allowed to stretch at all, and it's in pretty much every joint in my body - except to an extent my hands, because I have 'Carpal Tunnel Syndrome' in those in a mild dose, it makes them stiffer then the rest of the joints in my body, but no less painful.

Now I did lie a little bit. There is stuff that I can take, but it won't by any means cure me. Steroids, Anti-Inflammatories and Pain Killers. Nothing I want to take if I can avoid it. For one, the only thing any of those can do is dull the pain a bit. They don't help the weakness, and just for those two facts alone some of the side effects are far from worth it. I've been hurting this long now, I can keep on putting up with it.

There are many different side effects linked with 'Hypermobility Syndrome' and also alot of different disorders and diseases linked with it. If you care to know just go to Wikipedia. The result there is pretty accurate.

Well you don't have to read my garble if you don't wish. It's just a sort of insight into what has happened with me in the past few weeks. Going to Soundwaves Sunday for those of you who know what it is. I'm fair happy about that. I just hope I last the distance, if nothing else ankle strapping is a must. It hasn't been great of late.

So that's about it, laters
