Sometimes I think that the "art world" is a narow peice of crap. Art for art's sake is all well and good and great.. but 1) it doesn't pay the bills and 2)it has the tendancy to alienate the broader public. Whats the use of something that is made not for the benifit of the world but to pat others on the back

See, that's where design steps in. You use design so you can use artistic ability to solve problems! (Like, 'how do I pay the rent' XD )
