Eesh, that last type sounds wretched. They're not paying you, the least they could do is feed you!

I've only ever experienced it once -- on Monday and Tuesday of this week, which is why you're all getting this rant now. In every other clinic that I've been to, the very least that has happened is that when a consultant has been given a cup of coffee, either they or the nurse would say, "oh, you haven't got a coffee... the kettle's over there if you want to make yourself one!"
