WTF is with this modified potato and especially corn starch I see popping up?

I can see Corn Starch in some foods as a thickener but I'm trying to wrap my head around why it was in the box of CHEERIOS I was eating! Unless Cheerios is just cooked up ground oats with Corn Starch as the cohesive to make the o's. Even then I don't remember seeing it in the list. Organic Modified means Genetically Modified. There are lots of GM stuff out there. Have been for about a dozen years or so.

Yeah I looked and read up on modified. I'm notifying Ronnie Cummins to have the OCA take the USDA up to task on this.
Pandavi I understand there's Genetically Modified product but it's not suppose to be allowed in ANYTHING bearing the USDA Organic seal. It's no pesticides, herbicides OR being Genetically Modified.
