My life is a haze of wedding. Oh God it's happeningggggg

Dress: check. (rented for half-price from a store, and it's pretty)
Photographer: check. (sister-in-law is a professional wedding photographer)
Cake: check. (woohoo for sales and getting a three-tier cake from a good bakery - still need flowers and ribbon for it, though, and to borrow Carl's ( Read more... )

Vows: does the minister/judge/officiate have anything to suggest?
Music for ceremony: depending on where the wedding is being held, can they play the same non-descript music?

More and more I'm appreciating how low-key we had our wedding. You're supposed to enjoy the event, not stress out over it (or leading up to it...). :P

I thought it was too.

Of course, this spawned a whole line of jokes where I'd start heavy breathing and intone, "CARL, I AM YOUR WIFE" and he'd clutch his head and shout "NOOOOOOOOOOOO"

I am treating the solemn bonds of marriage with all due respect. yes I am.

I dunno, I looked at it as stressing over a minuscule six hours of my life or enjoying the next sixty+ years. After the immigration hassle this should be a relative cakewalk. ;)
