haha yeah I remember the first time I was in a quake, out in Seattle. its just fundamentally NOT COOL for the ground to move around like that.

I think a quake is the kind of thing you have to experience first-hand to get a genuine sense of how bad it is. And I say this not because I've had the experience, but by how badly it is typically portrayed in movies, media, etc.
