*Spock curls around the bond with his Jim, guarding it and the bond with his Leonard. There was a respite from the terrors, or maybe this was the hallucination? Spock didn't care. He stroked at the bond, a bright glow in the bleak emptiness of his mind

Finding Jim with his eyes closed, the eldest of the Spock's eyes closed and his hand in the mind-meld position. "...Shit." He knew what he would have to do to talk to ALL of them, and hated it.
Kirk walked across the room, hesitated only a moment before he put his hand on Spock's cheek, the one lying down, and spoke with the mental effort of trying to scream.
I HOPE YOU CAN HEAR ME! WE ARE GOING TO TRY TO GET BONES BACK IN JUST UNDER TWO HOURS.
And hoped he didn't get drawn into whatever they were doing.

But now, the shadow bond that Spock had so ruthlessly squashed came roaring back to life - perhaps this had been a bad idea.
Kirk found himself in an antechamber. The surfaces of the walls were crawling with angry images, Spock being attacked on all sides. Spock being whipped by men in Nazi uniforms until the blood ran in emerald rivers down his back. Spock tortured as his captors demand information about the Enterprise. Spock lunging after the elder Kirk, the burning light of pon farr driving his deadly motions.
And on the other side of the antechamber, surprise clear on their faces: Spock Prime and the elder Jim Kirk, holding a shimmering golden rope, leading in to a door that has swung shut with a loud, echoing bang.*

Fucking.
Shit.
Kirk stared around in something like horror, confused as hell. He let out a breath, not sure what was going on, where he suddenly was, or what he was watching.
He looked to Spock Prime and his counterpart, letting out a very small sound. "...I am so sorry I did anything."

"Captain. Thank you for... joining us. Ever the dramatic entrance..."
He looks around the antechamber, wincing away from the images on the walls. Looking in defeat at the door that has slammed shut on any hope of rescuing Commander Spock form his own mind.

"...In two hours, Bones, their Bones... will be back here. It'll be okay." He said very quietly. "I.." Shit. He was only trying to help, and ended up fucking things up.

The rope in Jim's hand has doubled in thickness - the bond is active and strong and that Kirk seems to be in no danger.
Unfortunately, as the images on the walls thicken, turn away from the endless series of Spocks being beaten, burned, and humiliated, and step menacingly closer to the younger James and the eldest Spock, the same cannot be said about their safety.
The walls of the antechamber fade into the darkness of a forest thicket.*

Spock sounds very serious.
"Right now, we are the unwanted intruders in this mind. We must find a way to convince this subconscious mind that we belong here. Right now, it is going to try to eradicate us as though we were a harmful virus.
"The question becomes this: fight, or flight?"

"I will do my best to hold off the hunt as much as possible."
Spock squares himself and raises a hand, the pure white light of ordered, logical thought spilling from it like a lantern. His voice sounds strained when he speaks again.
"Make it quick, James. I do not know how long I can hold him off.

Spock? Fuck, Spock, come on, you've gotta hear me. I'm in your head! I don't know what's going on but the other Spock is here and your Jim and we're trying to help you! What the hell am I doing?! Don't you dare hurt us, don't hurt yourself! Bones, YOUR Bones, he'll be here soon! Scotty and I are getting him here, you just need to stop acting like this and SNAP OUT OF IT!

Spock, come on. I'm being attacked by people in your head. This is so fucked up I don't even know where to start. I came to you, I was going to help you. I still WANT to help you. You could feel in my head, couldn't you, when we were there in your room? You could sense I wanted to be there, even after Bones came in. I know you could, or you would have rejected me and this not-really-there bond in my head wouldn't exist!
He was babbling, and he knew it. James Kirk was so out of his league at that moment.
