Currently trying to watch L word online and the streaming is so horrible ):
Hence trying to kill time by updating lj while waiting for the vids to load.

Punggol Nasi Lemak
Third Place! :D
22 August
Took a drive down to Marina Barrage with the family.
Many kites!!
Went for Tze Char dinner somewhere along Tiong Bahru.
3-month-old place - Golden Spoon!
A banner outside the restaurant said they offered free parking coupons (it's kinda in a HDB area). Talk about marketing!
Black Pepper Crab
Crab with Salted Egg Yolk
(Incidentally Ton had the same dish as me that night! Except her crabs came with 4 digits in it! Talk about Marketing II!)
Sambal Kang Kong
Coffee Pork Ribs
Food was SHIOK. A little too sweet for some dishes though. But overall really nice. And kinda special twist to the usual food!
Definitely going back again :D
26 August
Little Indie Coffeshop
Finally managed to try the porridge!
Every time I wna introduce a place to Bay, it takes a few failed attempts!
Lyn and I spent the night at Char's place cos the next day we had a job giving flyers and had to report really early to the ulu company in Jurong!
This is Char's 7-year-old(?) Shih-Tzu, Baby.
Who always manages to avoid looking at the camera.
Who tried to hump on the pillow I was to sleep on that night. -.-
Who I love to torture by whistling but not letting him know it was me, then his ears will go crazy like a raydar, and he will stare at all of us with a look that says, 'Damn it, now which one of them made that funny sound again!' HEE HEE.
And is always wearing a collar and leash, even at home, cos he likes to go under the parents' bed and hide there, where no one can reach him except with the help of a mop; thus the leash is for easy access: PULL!
"There was this once he wasn't wearing the leash and hid under the bed for really long, and wouldn't come out no matter how we coaxed him. We all thought he died sia. Until we poked him with the mop then he came running out -.-"
Oh ya you can see Lyn's barbie pink nails.
Grrrr watch out for the monster!!
Yes we held his head still so I could snap a full frontal picture. HAHA!
27 August
Lunch at Tiong Bahru Plaza after our job.
Char, Lyn, Yi Song and I went to some Taiwanese Ramen place! Or was it Japanese.
Anyway, you can choose the level of spiciness for your ramen, one, two, four, six or eight.
This was mine, Beef Ramen, level four!
The sides were pretty average, but more expensive than the average sushi place.
Next door was a pretty nice cafe that we thought hires ex-convicts. Saw some really interesting items like Root Beer Battered Fish & Chips, as well as Chilli Crab Baked Rice! We'll try that next!
Char went home, so the three of us headed to Bugis for me to get my hat!
Haha, my Garfield tee.
Then Yi Song left for work, and Lyn went to see my sunnies with me.
Here's a parting shot of our dear sister:
Wearing Lyn's specs.
In his own words, "Wah lao, so gay."
Anyway, this is Lyn trying on all the tai-tai rings she could find to match her nails.
BLEENG BLEENG!
Aight, bloody Chinese websites refuse to let me watch L word, so I shall go snooze. Bye!
TEE HEE.
